Sarolta Szulyovszky is a hungarian illustrator born in Budapest and based in San Daniele del Friuli, a small town nestled between the Alps and the sea in North-Eastern Italy. She has been active for over twenty years, with more than thirty books published in Italy and abroad. Her works have been selected for prestigious international exhibitions, including the Biennial of Illustration Bratislava, the Tallinn Illustration Triennial, and the Budapest Illustration Biennial. In 2018 and 2019, she was nominated for the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award (ALMA).
In addition to her artistic practice, she has been teaching illustration courses since 2010. Since 2011, she has taught digital illustration at ENAIP FVG. Since 2017, she has been a faculty member at the International School of Illustration in Sàrmede, and since 2024 she has been teaching illustration at the Academy of Fine Arts G. B. Tiepolo in Udine (Italy). She also regularly leads workshops and gives lectures on illustration and visual storytelling.
